At HOPE Healthcare and Hospice, we know that sometimes the simplest gestures are the ones that mean the most. A quiet conversation. A shared laugh. A hand to hold.
These small acts — moments of comfort, connection, and care — are at the heart of Companion Volunteering.
We’re honored to invite you to explore meaningful opportunities to serve as a HOPE Volunteer, especially in one of our most impactful roles: offering your time and presence to patients and families in need.
As a Companion Volunteer, you’re not asked to fix or solve anything. You’re simply there to be there.
Whether it’s sitting bedside, reading aloud, or listening to life stories, your presence provides emotional support and reassurance to patients — and gives caregivers a much-needed moment to rest and recharge, knowing their loved one is not alone.
🎥 Watch a short video about Companion Volunteering and see what this beautiful role looks like in action.
It’s a meaningful gift. No clinical skills required — just a kind heart and the willingness to show up.
You bring dignity and comfort to someone nearing the end of life.
You give caregivers peace of mind during a physically and emotionally demanding time.
You become part of something bigger — a circle of support that lifts the entire community.
Whether you’re ready to sign up or just want to ask a few questions, we’re here and happy to talk.
