Paula Martinez Mills was born and raised in Opelousas, LA and she still resides there. She has been a nurse for over 40 years in various capacities. Her true passion and calling is in hospice where she has over 15 years of experience helping patients and families in need of compassionate, professional and attentive end-of-life care.
Paula has been a leader and a resource in her community in various capacities and has been active as a board member of the American Heart Association, Christmas in April-Habitat for Humanity, St. Landry Parish Veteran’s Memorial, American Cancer Society, St. Hubert Benevolent Society, the Hospice Promise Foundation and St. Landry-Evangeline United Way. She was the Chairman of the Board for the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce and was chosen as Chamber Person of the year.
She is blessed with 3 children and 4 grandchildren who are the light of her life. Paula enjoys fishing, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
